the process
I create unique, custom artwork for people all over the world by mixing specialty inks with ocean and lake water that someone has sent to me from a place that is meaningful to them.
I mix the water I receive into my inks used to create each piece. I use various size bottles and applicators to apply the ink and water onto recycled coated paper and then let it rest for 24 hours before applying the next layer. After several weeks of applying and layering the ink and water, a beautiful imprint of stunning colors is left behind and sealed with varnish. The GPS coordinates and the name of the location from where the water was collected from are handwritten on the artwork creating a unique, tangible memory for you from a very meaningful moment in time.
My process of mixing global water with inks creates stunning, one-of-a-kind color contrasts. By mixing the water I receive in with my inks it allows each person to contribute to their unique piece of art and the end result is a very beautiful and meaningful keepsake.
